Woman’s Missionary Union is a Cooperative Partner to the Baptist
State Convention that seeks to equip adults, youth, children and
preschoolers with missions’ education to become involved in the
mission of God. WMU encourages members to pray for and give to
missions, do missions, learn about missions, develop spiritually
toward a mission lifestyle and participate in the work of the
church and denomination.
Our WMU here
at Chalybeate Springs Baptist Church meets monthly at the church
on the second Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. Our program usually comes
from the “Mosaic”, the magazine for women on missions.
Annually, we support several special mission offerings: Baptist
Children’s Home, NC State Missions, Annie Armstrong Easter
offering and Lottie Moon Christmas offering. Our projects for
this fall are making care bears for the children at Womack
Hospital, Red Box Ministry to the Women’s Prison in Raleigh and
Prison Christmas Card Ministry.
Through WMU, we become more involved in the
fulfillment of the Great Commission.
